Busy Little Hobby Farmer's

My, oh my, have we been busy the past couple weeks!

We got our borrowed land ready and moved five of our seven cows last weekend. The last two to move were our youngest two and they were not going to cooperate. Fine. Stay. We will halter you and play with you. Whatever! Obviously, they did not agree to that plan.

As a treat for all our hard work that we did that weekend (cleaning up scrap metal, moving wood and dirt, cleaning up...) we went to a movie....and the two year-old calves went for a walk...outside their fence. We almost had them back in when they decided they really didn't have enough time to roam free. Long story short, I drove a few miles in the mini van, Paul put a few miles on the 4-wheeler, and Tyler put a couple miles on his shoes before hopping into the van with me. They are now happy with the other cows after a cross-country through ditches and fields trek.

Seriously, who knew having animals was so much work? Oh, yeah, maybe that husband of mine.

Yeah we finally have the blog up and running.....errrr....sputtering! Sweet farm dreams my friends!
